Civic Responsibility Project is sponsoring the ‘Party to the Polls Purple Tour,’ a nonpartisan, national initiative bringing people from all political backgrounds together for dance parties to celebrate democracy and encourage participation in upcoming elections. The tour will feature 50+ large-scale events nationwide aiming to create a festive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages joyful participation in the electoral process and appreciation for the workers who run our elections.

The Party to Polls Purple Tour will provide opportunities for attendees to check and update their voter registration, request an absentee ballot, pledge to vote, share gratitude with the election workers helping power our elections, and, throughout October and early November, cast a ballot at an early vote location.

The Party to the Polls Purple Tour is being produced by Daybreaker, which hosts morning sober parties year-round, and in partnership with BLK, Paramount, SHOWTIME/MTV Entertainment Studios, Levi’s, Sofar Sounds, Eventbrite, Tony's Chocolonely, Crooked Media/Vote Save America, Hop Water, Tyrann Mathieu Foundation, Athletes for Impact, BallotReady, Students Learn Students Vote Coalition, Influence Change, National Voter Registration Day, Power the Polls, Pizza to the Polls, Vote Early Day, Election Hero Day, The Team, Vot-ER, Campus Vote Project, Every Vote Counts, Turn Up Turnout, RepresentUs, New Voters, Alliance for Youth Organizing, and VoteRiders.

In addition to these partners, Party to the Polls Purple Tour has an advisory council co-chaired by artists and athletes passionate about getting out the vote including acclaimed comedian and actress Wanda Sykes, National Football League player Tyrann Mathieu, Film and Broadway star Anthony Ramos, and WNBA All Star Breanna Stewart. Dancing with the Stars host Julianne Hough will serve as the council’s Health and Wellness Ambassador and TikTok star DJ Bradeazy and comedic producer and actress Abbi Jacobson will appear at college campus stops along the tour. Elected officials from both parties are also making special appearances at various Purple Tour stops; to date, that has included Republican Secretary of State Al Schmidt (R-PA), Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Los Angeles County Recorder Dean Logan.

"I’m teaming up with Party To The Polls because the clock’s ticking and there's so much at stake,” says Wanda Sykes. “This is the perfect way to connect with young voters, hear their thoughts, and more importantly, understand what’s on the line for them. Every voice matters, and we’re making sure they’re heard."

“Voting is something I’m sticking with, and proud to use my voice to support. My message to young people is just that - stick with it. Continue to show up, and use your voice at the ballot box to better yourself and your community. I’m looking forward to voting this fall,” said New Orleans Saints player Tyrann Mathieu. “Partying to the polls with Purple Tour is a great opportunity to get more young people involved in their community, get educated, and actually registering and voting early.”

“I’m partnering with Daybreaker on Party to the Polls because I love a good party and what better reason to party than people signing up to make a difference in their communities by registering to vote!” says Anthony Ramos. “The fact that we get to vote is something to celebrate, so I’m excited to encourage people to get out there and do it with a party!“

Breanna Stewart adds “I’m grateful for my platform and make it a point to advocate for equity and justice. That advocacy includes encouraging everybody to register and to show up to vote,” said Team USA and New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart. “Voting is extremely important and with Purple Tour we’re able to engage especially today’s youth to be their own advocates - for themselves and communities - while having fun along the way.”

“We’re honored and thrilled the Party to the Polls Purple Tour has such broad support for its mission to bridge political divides, build deeper connections to our communities and bring a spirit of joy and celebration to our democratic process,” said Ashley Spillane, founder of Civic Responsibility Project, the organization sponsoring Daybreaker’s tour. “With early voting in this year’s elections already underway in some states, this a great opportunity to create a stronger, more vibrant culture of civic engagement and get people from all walks of life excited to party to the polls!”
